How to Apply

We welcome submissions from those at the outset of their research and academic careers whose work adheres to the standards of rigour and insight that Nexis Key: Journal of Research and Scholarship upholds.

 

To guide applicants in the preparation of their submissions, the following guidelines, eligibility requirements, and application tips are provided

We accept the following types of submissions:

 

Research Papers: Original empirical studies, theoretical papers, or literature reviews.

 

Articles: Thought pieces, case studies, or opinion pieces on relevant contemporary issues.

 

Reviews: Critical evaluations of books, articles, or projects that contribute to your field.

 

Interviews: Structured interviews with experts, thought leaders, or key figures relevant to the topic.

Guidelines for Submission

Submissions to Nexis Key must adhere to the following requirements to ensure a streamlined review process:

  • Font and Spacing: 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced throughout.

  • Margins: 1-inch margins on all sides.

  • Title Page: Include a title page with the manuscript title, author(s), and affiliations. The title page should be separate from the main text to ensure anonymity during peer review.

  • Abstract: Research papers must include an abstract (150–250 words) summarizing the study's purpose, methods, and conclusions.

 

  • Headings: Use APA-style headings for organization.

 

  • Citations and References: All in-text citations and reference lists must adhere to APA guidelines.

 

  • In-Text Citation Example: (Smith, 2021).

 

  • Reference List Example:
    Smith, J. (2021). Title of the book. Publisher.

Ethical Guidelines

Originality and Plagiarism: All submissions must be the author’s original work. Submissions are checked for plagiarism, and manuscripts with significant overlap with previously published work will be rejected.

Data Integrity: For research papers, authors must ensure that all data is accurately represented and properly referenced. Any use of previously published data must be appropriately cited.

 

Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research or interpretation of findings.

Lenght Requirements

To strengthen your submission, consider the following recommendations about the length of your work:

  • Research Papers: 3,000–8,000 words, including references and appendices.

  • Articles: 2,000–5,000 words.

  • Reviews: 1,500–3,000 words.

  • Interviews: 2,000–4,000 words.
